I’m excited to launch the Prairie Castle Collection on March 1, 2025! I’ve created pieces that feature bold skies and grain elevators to represent Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba.

I’ve written before about growing up on the prairies, and how these tall beacons respresent home and community. I can still remember the day our local elevator disappeared into a pile of wood and dust. How I wish I had known what future me would be doing – I would have grabbed some of that historic wood to incorporate into my art!

By luck, I have come across wood that has similar colouring to the Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba elevators. It has been fun to create these monoliths of the prairies, a representation of days gone by and the history of grain farming in these provinces.
