A few years ago, I had the chance to take a trip to Prince Edward Island with my mom, sister and niece. We were enthralled with the vibrant wild lupines that proliferated the ditches along the highways. Such beauties! Of course, we grow lupines across Canada, but it was on that trip that I really learned to appreciate their beauty. Each petal and stem has been hand painted in vibrant colours. A whitewashed alder backer is the perfect backdrop, yes?
This art piece has been created using a wood art panel. The backer is sliced rescued alder, with a laser cut and hand painted lupine sitting atop.
